London Gatwick

Probably the best way to get an overall first impression of London is to hop on one of the open-topped sightseeing tour buses to see the sights - Big Ben, The Houses of Parliament, St Paul's Cathedral, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Tower Bridge, and the Tower of London to name but a few.

Definitely worth seeing is the "Changing of the Guards" at Buckingham Palace, a ritual steeped in history and complete with accompanying regalia.

London has some of the finest museums and art galleries in the world, including the British Museum, Science Museum Victoria and Albert Museum, Madame Tussaud's, The National Gallery, and Tate Gallery. Shopping here is not for the fainthearted. London has it all - from the department stores in Oxford Street to the exclusive designer outlets in Bond Street - not forgetting colourful markets like Camden and Portobello Road for bargains galore.

London theatres are second to none. Bars, restaurants and typically English pubs are in abundance throughout the West End and Soho is full of fashionable restaurants. Every style of cuisine imaginable is available, from traditional English to a range of international dishes including French, Italian, Indian, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese.
