Appointment of non-executive director

easyJet plc announced today that Sven Boinet (54) has been appointed to the board as a non-executive director with effect from 1 March 2008.

Sven, a French national, is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Group Lucien Barrière, the €1.2 billion turnover company created from the merger of the gaming activities of Accor and Lucien Barrière. Previously he held a number of senior management roles over a 15-year period at the French hotels group, Accor. Sven was also a non-executive director of Lastminute.com from 2003 until its sale to Sabre in 2005.

This year we will open bases at Paris Charles de Gaulle and Lyons, so having someone of Sven’s experience of the French business environment will be invaluable and I am delighted to have attracted a non-executive director of his calibre."

Sven has also accepted an invitation to join the Audit Committee of the Company. There are no further disclosures required under rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
